These two teams meet about a week ago. The Clippers were in control from the get-go and almost all four quarters.
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George had big games as expected. The clincher was the Clippers bench.
The Timberwolves bench had no answer for the Clipper’s second unit. They were constantly overwhelmed.
Karl Anthony Towns showed up but in this game, Towns will not have offensive help as Andrew Wiggins has been traded away.
They acquired D’Angelo Russel via the trade but it’s reported that he will not play against the Clippers.
If Leonard and George decide to sit out this game, the Timberwolves will make a game of it. It will be tough for them if they don’t.
Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves are on a 12 game losing streak. It doesn’t seem like that is going to end anytime soon.

They recently were involved in a huge 4 team trade. The moves signify that the Timberwolves are looking to rebuild for the future.
With Robert Covington moving to the Rockets, the Timberwolves will take a hit defensively.
Their defense is not solid, to begin with, but they have hit the reset button and will be looking to build through the draft and possibly through free agency.
This transition period also does not bode well for them in this game and in the short term future.
Town’s is an All-Star caliber player but if there is no help around him, there is only so much that he can do.

This team is planning for the playoffs. They have depth from top to bottom and are poised to make a deep run.
It is, however, hard to predict how they will fare when Leonard or George is not in the lineup. They should be able to handle the Timberwolves with or without Leonard and George.
They have depth and are great at rebounding as a team. They have however but up some clunkers.
They have recently lost to the lowly Hawks and the Kings. This game should be in the bag but they have lost to lesser teams with or without Leonard or George.
