LA Clippers
With both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George healthy the Clippers are using this time to build chemistry and get reps in with all their teammates.
Rumor has it Leonard asked the front office to consider adding a point guard at the trade deadline with his supposed preference being one of his former Raptors teammates (Kyle Lowry or Fred VanVleet). They were also rumored to be interested in Kyrie but that’s now a moot point.
In the victory versus the Knicks the superstar duo led the way with Leonard dropping 35 points, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals while George offered 30 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and a steal.
Meanwhile, the loss by the Kings on Sunday narrows their lead over LAC to a single game.

Injury Report

Brooklyn Nets
So the mic drop by Mark Cuban and Sean Marks sent shockwaves across the Twitterverse today as Kyrie Irving (and Markieff Morris) heads to Dallas to give Luka Doncic arguably his first real All-Star.
Adrian Wojnarowski updated Lakers were actively in the discussions for Irving but Marks preferred the Mavs package because they get a point guard (Dinwiddie) as well as a wing they can plug in immediately (Dorian Finney-Smith) and of course picks including one that doesn’t convey until 2029!
I seem to recall Dinwiddie and Durant had tension in their first foray with the Nets but maybe that was just something getting blown out of proportion.
Moving forward there are copious questions but really only one matters – – how is KD feeling about the Nets after this trade?
To that end, Ian Begley’s update confirms the Raptors remain the lynchpin of the trade deadline. But again, is this a situation of Marks revisiting trading KD — or is it to bolster their depth.

Free LA Clippers vs. Brooklyn Nets NBA Prediction:
All in all, we’re not sure if the newly acquired Nets will be suited up for this game so Jacques Vaughan may be dealing with another short bench and that works in the favor of the Clippers who have their gaze firmly fixed on overtaking the Kings in third.
