Sunday, December 22nd finds two Central Division teams tipping off as the Indiana Pacers face the Milwaukee Bucks. This is the second meeting of the season with the Bucks winning 102-83 on November 16th.
Last season, the teams played four times with the Bucks taking three of the four games. The Bucks hold the all-time record having bested the Pacers in 102 of their 192 matches

The big news in the association this week was the Bucks win over the Lakers but let’s not forget the Pacers also downed the showtime crew.
Granted, Anthony Davis was out with a tweaked ankle but the win was no less impressive especially as Indiana held off LeBron James in the clutch.

Indiana followed this up with a victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday with an all round effort from their squad facing a young team playing much better in recent weeks.
In the win, all five starters and two reserves registered double-digit efforts. TJ Warren led the way scoring 23 points. Several Pacers had solid showings including Domantas Sabonis with 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists and Malcolm Brogdon with 13 points, six assists and six rebounds.
Myles Turner (17), Aaron Holiday (11), Doug McDermott (13), and TJ McConnell (15) were the other double-figure contributors
On the season TJ Warren leads the team in scoring (18.7) and steals (1.1) while Malcolm Brogdon is the team assist leader with 7.7 per game. Sabonis tops the ladder for rebounding (13.1) and field goal percent (51.9) while Myles Turner leads for blocks (2.5).
Jeremy Lamb missed the Kings game with a sore groin and Domantas Sabonis is nursing a sore hip as both are listed as questionable for Sunday.
Naz Mitrou-Long (ankle) missed the last three games and is out Sunday. Victor Oladipo (knee – quadriceps tendon) is expected to make a return by month-end.
Milwaukee Bucks
An up and down week for the Bucks considering how they had dominated the league this season. Taking down the Lakers certainly made a statement as the final score didn’t reflect just how complete the win was.
Of note, Anthony Davis was returning from an ankle injury but still the Bucks definitely appeared to have fewer weaknesses for any team in the Association to exploit.
In the win, Giannis Antetokounmpo was a beast producing a double-double of 34 points with 11 boards and seven assists. Four of the Greek Freaks teammates added double-figure scoring. That group included George Hill (21), Khris Middleton (15), Wesley Matthews (13) and Brook Lopez (10).
On the season Giannis Antetokounmpo leads three team categories for the Bucks including scoring (31.8), rebounding and (12.8), and field goal percentage (56.5%). The other categories are led by Eric Bledsoe (assists: 5.7), Donte DiVincenzo (steals 1.5) and Brook Lopez (blocks: 2.3).
The Pacers might get a bit lucky as Giannis Antetokounmpo is dealing with back soreness and he’s listed as probable but if he’s still suffering expect Indiana to err on the side of caution.
Westley Matthews (thigh contusion) won’t play Sunday. Eric Bledsoe will be out two weeks after suffering a right fibula avulsion fracture. Dragan Bender is dealing with a right ankle sprain which kept him out the past five games; he is listed as questionable.

So much up in the air for this match as either Antetokounmpo or Sabonis not playing will affect the bottom line. If Sabonis is a go I’d lean to the Pacers covering and if Giannis can’t go I’d lean toward the Pacers winning.
