This Friday night match-up will see the Indiana Pacers take on the Chicago Bulls. These teams met in November where the Pacers won 108-95.
Indiana Pacers
The Pacers lost to Miami in their last game by a score of 122-108. Indiana has really started to struggle recently, winning just twice in their last seven games. They are starting to fall in the Eastern Conference and could desperately use a couple wins in a row.
The offense was not up to par last time out as they scored just 108 points against the Heat. Although, they are only averaging 109.4, so not much of a difference in that regard.
Previously, their leading scorer was TJ Warren, however he had just 3 points in the game against Miami and has now lost that title. Taking over the leading scorer role was Domantas Sabonis. He is averaging 18 points per game and just dropped 27 in the losing effort against the Heat.
Note Sabonis is still listed as questionable for this Friday game and his status could have a major impact on how the Pacers play. Also injured, is Malcolm Brogdon. He is questionable as well with a back issue.

Defensively, the Pacers have usually been very effective. They allow 106.6 points per game, the 8th best scoring defense in the NBA. That being said, they failed miserably to stop Miami at all. They have now gone five games in a row allowing 110 points or more.
It is not like Chicago has some lethal offense, so look for the Pacers to play much better defensively in this Friday game.
Chicago Bulls
The Bulls have now dropped five games in a row, losing to the Pelicans in their last game. They remain as one of the league’s worst teams and have not shown much improvement.
Offensively is where the Bulls seem to struggle the most. They are the 25th ranked scoring offense in the NBA, averaging 105.8 points per game. They are the second worst shooting team in the league, shooting an average of 43.1% from the field.
One of the only brights spots for the Bulls is Zach LaVine. He is averaging a team best, 23.9 points per game. Lauri Markkanen is their second best player an averages 15.4 points per game. The most important thing for the Bulls is getting their young talent more and more experience as the season rolls along.
Another player of note for Chicago is Wendell Carter Jr. However, he is now out indefinitely with a high ankle sprain.
As for defense, the Bulls may not be as bad as their record. They are the 12th ranked scoring defense, allowing 107.7 points per game. During their five-game losing streak, they are allowing 115.4 points per game, so defense has not been as sharp recently.
The one thing Chicago can do is defend the three-point line. Teams shoot just 33.6%, which is 4th in the NBA.
