By all accounts Wall should be back in the lineup on Tuesday night, but it’s very possible that Oladipo sits after playing Monday night vs. the Hornets. The Rockets have gone just 6-7 on the road this season.
Houston’s offense needs a boost too. Over the last week they’ve been held to 87 points at OKC, 106 vs. San Antonio, and 94 in a loss to Charlotte on Monday night.
On paper it would look like a bounce back game for the Rockets, as New Orleans has a bottom 10 defense and is playing on the first end of a back-to-back themselves. Houston is 24th in offensive efficiency though.
New Orleans Pelicans
New Orleans shoots for their 4th win in a row after a very slow start to the year. The Pelicans are still just 10-12 on the year though, with the 4th worst record in the Western Conference.
Zion Williamson has definitely been a big part of the turnaround with a couple 28+ point games over his last three. Brandon Ingram has added 27+ the last two, and it looks like just too much firepower for Houston to keep up with.
The Pelicans do have a visit to Chicago on Wednesday night, but they’ll likely use as much of their resources as possible on Tuesday to push the win streak to four games.
New Orleans would also like to avenge a 126-112 loss to the Rockets 10 days ago, also in New Orleans. Christian Wood had 27 in that game for the Rockets so his absence is a huge loss.
