After losing two straight game to the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks, the OKC Thunder bounced back on Tuesday with a win against the Los Angeles Lakers. Unfortunately for the Thunder, that was just the team’s third win in the last 10 games. It’s proven to be a tough final stretch for the team, especially with playoff seeding on the line.
Still, the win over the Lakers reminded us just how good this team can be when both Russell Westbrook and Paul George play well. Westbrook, with his friend Nipsey Hussle on his mind, recorded the first 20-20-20 triple-double since Wilt Chamberlin (who has the only other one in NBA history).

George also turned in a solid, if not slightly below average, performance. He posted 19 points on 48% shooting and tallied six rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Sure, LeBron didn’t play and the Lakers were short staffed beyond that, but the stars of Oklahoma City showed up and they’re likely to do the same against a struggling Pistons side.
