The Nuggets extended their win streak to five games when they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-100 in their last game.

This is just the 23rd best scoring offense in the NBA. They do only shoot 45.3% from the field, which ranks 17th in the league. Their three-point shooting is also middle of the pack, as they average 35.6% and rank 16th.
Jamal Murray remains the top scoring threat for this team. At least as a guard. He is averaging 17.9 points per game. Now their biggest threat in the low post is by far Nikola Jokic. He is averaging 17.3 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game.

The Lakers come into this game on a rare two-game losing streak. They most recently lost to the Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 111-104. The most concerning news for this game is the status of LeBron James an Anthony Davis. James is dealing with a thoracic muscle strain and is listed as doubtful. As for Davis, he is dealing with an ankle injury and is questionable.
The Lakers offense is one of the best this season, ranking 10th in scoring. They average 112.6 points per game, but during their short two-game losing streak, they have scored an average of 103 points.
They do however, have the best shooting percentage from the field at 48.4%. This is due to the dominance by Anthony Davis and LeBron James. Anthony Davis is actually the leading scorer, averaging 27.7 points per game. LeBron averages 25.8 points per game, so combined these two guys average 53.5 points per game. Now knowing that LeBron is doubtful, the question remains, “Who will step up other than Davis?”

Again, with LeBron likely out, I expect Denver to play better than most other teams would if LeBron was playing.
