Cavaliers vs. Raptors Gameday
Game 6 between the #4 Cleveland Cavaliers and #5 Toronto Raptors is on Friday at 7:30 p.m., with the hometown team looking to force the series to a Game 7.
Cleveland erupted for a fourth quarter burst that put them in front as they won 125-120 in Game 5 to take a 3-2 lead.
Four Cavs scored in double figures, led by James Harden and Evan Mobley, who each scored 23 points along with nine rebounds. Donovan Mitchell and Dennis Schroder each scored 19 points. Harden still had issues hanging onto the ball with six turnovers.
Toronto had the edge for the majority of the game and took a lead into the fourth but Brandon Ingram was lost to a heel issue early in the match. RJ Barrett led the way with 25 points and 12 rebounds while Scottie Barnes (17 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal) was still the best player on the court until a charley horse slowed him a bit in the second half.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors Odds & Last 5
Head-to-head this season, the Raptors swept the Cavaliers 3-0, but learned quickly in Game 1 that the Cavs are a very different team with James Harden in the lineup.
The clubs have a playoff history, having faced each other three times in prior seasons, with the Cavaliers dominating with two sweeps and a 4-2 series win. They last played in the 2018 season when LeBron James and Co. took them out, and LBJ famously gave praise to the Scotiabank crowd after the series win.
Coming into the playoffs, the Raptors were 3-2 through their last five matches, while the Cavs arrived on a hot streak, having won five of their last six contests.
Cleveland is favored by 3.5 points while the over/under is 219.5 points.
Cavaliers Stats

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors bottom line:
If you caught Game 5, it looked like the Raptors have solved the Cavaliers as Mitchell and Harden are scoring but not up to their usual standards.
Barnes, taking a knee to his thigh, shifted how effective he was in the second half, and the loss of Ingram served to allow the Cavs to put more attention on Barnes.
Ingram remains questionable for Toronto which is dire given this is a must-win for the Dinos.

Cavaliers Raptors Free Pick: Raptors +3.5
Here is my Cavaliers Raptors free pick.
Injuries are playing a role in this series, but the question is whether experience will factor in at any point. Harden has played more than anyone on the court in the postseason, but his resume in series that get extended isn’t great.
Pace is the biggest difference in how Toronto played Games 1 and 2 versus the rest of the series, and it’s translating into shots as the Raptors won that battle, taking 95 shots compared to the Cavs 81.
In fact, scanning the stats, the Raptors won many key categories such as rebounding, including a 15 to 4 offensive rebound edge, assists (32 – 20), fast break scoring (24 to 6), and points scored off turnovers (20 to 28).
The key for the Raptors is holding opponents under 120 points. When they do they win and when they don’t they lose.
For this match, we know the Raptors will be playing with a desperate edge, but the question is whether Ingram will dress (see Tweet of the Day). His presence hasn’t factored so much in the wins in terms of scoring, but he is forcing Cleveland to cover him, which opens the floor. Keep that in mind if you feel his presence makes a huge difference, as you might vary from my opinion below.
It felt like the Raptors actually lost the game more than the Cavaliers won it, so I feel like they let one slip away and will be dialed into getting that one back to force Game 7.
With that in mind, I’ll take the points and the Raptors to win this potential penultimate match in the series.
