Thursday, January 9th, Central Division foes the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons completes a home and home series. It’s their third meeting this season with Detroit winning both prior games.
Last season, the teams played four times with the Pistons taking three of the four contests. The Pistons hold the all-time record having bested the Cavaliers in 129 of their 220 matches
Cleveland Cavaliers
It’s been a tough few days for Kevin Love who is letting his frustrations show over dissatisfaction in the team focusing more on their youngsters but his salary makes it difficult to move the forward given his injury history and the length of his contract.

Dante Exum missed the previous game due to an illness, and it is questionable for Thursday. Kevin Porter Jr. suffered a sprained left knee and is expected to miss two weeks.
Larry Nance Jr. (left knee soreness) and Dylan Windler (left tibial stress reaction) are both expected to be out until mid-January.
Detroit Pistons
Tuesday, the Pistons allowed the Cavaliers to take a lead after allowing a 38 to 27 second quarter they rallied to score 31 versus 18 in the final frame to get the two-point victory.

Rumors are the Pistons are shopping Drummond and now with Blake Griffin gone following arthroscopic knee surgery with no definitive return date, it’s likely the front office will ramp up those efforts to trade him. Markieff Morris is out with a left foot sprain and no exact return date.

Free Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons NBA Prediction:
While the Pistons have feasted on the Cavaliers in recent contests the loss of Blake Griffin and rumors of trades may throw off the team which could carry over to the hardwood in terms of their ability to focus.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Pistons win, Cavs cover
This one is a coin toss, but the Cavaliers aren’t a good road team (4-13) and the Pistons aren’t dominating at home (8-9). Still home trumps visitors so the Pistons get the nod.
