Brooklyn looked just unstoppable against the Warriors on Saturday night, winning easily, 134–117.
It was just the seventh time Kyrie Irving, James Harden and Kevin Durant all started together this season. Irving had 23 points on 10-of-17; Harden had 19 on 6-for-11 and 16 assists; Durant had an even 20 with six assists.
Bruce Brown had 18 and Joe Harris 15 for the Nets. Jeff Green had 14 off the bench and the trio of Landry Shamet, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Tyler Johnson all had at least eight points.
That was just about everyone. DeAndre Jordan missed the game due to personal reasons. He’ll have a role when the Nets need more muscle but it seems Brooklyn may be more dangerous without him.
More open space in the middle leaves room for cutters and creates additional space for outside shooters like Harris, who is, underratedly, a terrific number four for this team.
Brooklyn will be in Phoenix on Tuesday night for the second game of a back-to-back. Then it’s off to Los Angeles to games against the Lakers and Clippers before returning home.
It’s place in the East feels secure. The conference doesn’t look as deep as it once did with teams like Boston, Miami, Toronto and Indiana slipping of late. Despite all its growing pains, Brooklyn is in third-place.
After winning seven of eight, mostly by close margins, the Kings have dropped their last two.
Sacramento lost to Philly by eight and then followed it up with a second home loss, this time to the Orlando Magic, 123–112.
Nikola Vucevic went 17-of-22 for 42 points to give Orlando a rare victory. Sacramento turned it over 18 times to finish -10 in defeat.
It’s the sort of loss a team bound for the playoffs in the Western Conference does not suffer.
Both Marvin Bagley and De’Aaron Fox missed the game with leg injuries that have them both listed as questionable for Sacramento’s game on Sunday against Memphis.
Yes, that makes this the second of back-to-back games at home. Bagley may not make a different but the Kings will need Fox to stay competitive in this one.

Free Brooklyn Nets vs Sacramento Kings NBA Prediction: Nets win.
As good as the Nets played on Saturday in San Francisco, they still only won by 17. Of course, it was more than enough to cover any spread but it was still a reminder of how tough it can be to cover a large number in the NBA.
Brooklyn’s playing great and I’m looking for it to continue in this spot. I wouldn’t get too confident in laying more than three or four points, though.
Sacramento has the players to make this one competitive and it may just be that. Look for Brooklyn to earn some chemistry point by closing a game against a team it should probably beat by more. It will be happy to just get another one on the road.
