Free Atlanta Hawks vs. Orlando Magic NBA Prediction:
Monday, December 30th, finds Southeast Division rivals the Atlanta Hawks facing the Orlando Magic for the second time this season. In the first match on October 26th, the Hawks won 103-99.
Last season, the teams played four times with the Orlando Magic sweeping the series. The Hawks hold the all-time record having bested the Magic in 59 of their 117 matches
Atlanta Hawks
With the loss to the Bulls, the Hawks tied their season-long losing streak of 10 games in a row so another loss tonight will set a new low for Atlanta this season.
While Atlanta continues to struggle their lottery bound counterparts like the New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors have strung together some wins which position the Hawks with easily the worst record in the NBA.

It was thought once John Collins returned from suspension the team could gain more victories but just as he returned to the lineup their star Trae Young got injured.
Young sprained his ankle in the Bucks game and needed to be helped from the court. He was unable to play against the Bulls and a return date is uncertain.
With Collins back for the last three games, he’s producing at the rate the team expected. Through those three appearances, Collins has averaged a double-double of 18.9 points, 11.3 rebounds plus 1.3 assists, 1.0 steal, and 2.7 blocks.
In the loss to the Bulls, Collins led the way with 34 points. The only other double-figure contributor was Alex Len with 10 points.
On the season, Trae Young is the team leader in points (28.5) and assists (8.3). Jabari Parker tops the team in rebounds (6.3), field goal percent (50.6) and steals (1.3). Damian Jones is the top block man with 0.9 per game.
Alex Len is nursing an ankle sprain while Evan Turner has a right hamstring strain although both are listed as probable for Monday.
Jabari Parker has missed the last two games with a right shoulder impingement and is listed as unlikely to play Monday and Trae Young is definitely out.
Orlando Magic
Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo sitting out the match between the Bucks and the Magic it didn’t slow Milwaukee who won 111-100. The offense remains a struggle as the Magic rank last in the league struggling to get points on the board.
Adding to those woes Aaron Gordon had to leave the match dealing with soreness in his Achilles.
In the loss four Orlando Magic led the offensive production with Evan Fournier top point producer (23). Nic Vucevic (21) and DJ Augustin (12) each chipped in while Jonathan Isaac did his best to keep the team in the match on both sides of the court with 19 points, nine rebounds, and an impressive seven steals.
Four different Magic players top various stat categories with Evan Fournier atop scoring with 19.4 points and field goal percentage (48.0 percent). DJ Augustine dishes 4.6 assists, Aaron Gordon leads rebounding efforts with 7.1. Jonathan Isaac leads the hustle categories including blocks (2.5) and steals (1.5).
In addition to missing Gordon on Monday, Mo Bamba is questionable due to a sprained right ankle that has kept him out of the past two games.
Michael Carter-Williams missed the last three games due to an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder and is out Monday. Al-Farouq Aminu is out indefinitely having sustained a torn meniscus in his right knee.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The Magic are 7-3 ATS in their last 10
- The Magic are 6-4 in last 10 head to head
- Over Under is 5-5 in team’s last 10 head to head matchups
Free Atlanta Hawks vs. Orlando Magic NBA Prediction:
The spread seems rather large given the Magic’s scoring troubles but without Trae Young this could be an opportunity for Orlando to deliver an uncharacteristic blow-out win.
