Mike Brown finally got the memo that the Hawks CANNOT guard Karl-Anthony Towns as he took over in Game 4. Still, KAT could be taking more shots than he is, and that has to be the tweak Brown makes heading into Game 5.
Brunson is still taking the most shots and getting hunted on defense, which didn’t work quite as well for the Hawks in Game 4. Expect more tweaks by Quin Snyder for this matchup, but if Brown makes the above adjustment, Snyder won’t have a counter because Okongwu is the only player he can put on KAT.

Similar to Game 1, the Knicks controlled the pace and didn’t allow the Hawks to get out in the break, holding them to just seven fast break points in Game 4.
For the Hawks to win, they need to push pace and also win the glass (which they lost in Game 4). The team that is winning the glass is winning the games, so this is a critical part of the game plan. Since the Hawks are hampered upfront, the Hawks players all need to crash the glass and then push the pace off those rebounds.
Atlanta needs to be cautious about getting into clutch time with the Knicks where Jalen Brunson excels leading the Knicks to 21-13 in clutch time games. New York ranks sixth in clutch time win percentage (61.8%) versus Atlanta who rank 18th (48.6%).
Ultimately, this series comes down to Brown having the conversation with Brunson that KAT has to be the priority on offense. Atlanta can’t stop him, and while they are hunting both of New York’s stars on the defensive end, if they use KAT more offensively, it simply won’t matter.
Bottom line, the Knicks are the more talented team and have the answers to the questions to win this series, and I think they take care of business now that they’ve solved the key to winning the series.
Take New York to win and cover, and KAT to have a standout Game 5.
