Atlanta snapped a ten-game losing streak with a 101–93 victory in Orlando its last time out.

Brandon Goodwin scored a career-high twenty-one points in twenty-two minutes off the bench, adding six assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block.
The former Atlantic Sun Player of the Year at Florida Gulf Coast, who only arrived at Dunk City after transferring from Central Florida, is on a two-way contract with the Hawks and playing minutes he’s never played before with Trae Young injured.
Young has missed two games since turning his ankle against Milwaukee the day after Boxing Day. X-Rays were negative but the timetable for his return is unclear. It seems unlikely he will play in this game but there is no official word yet.
The win in Orlando was Atlanta’s seventh. The Hawks and Warriors (9–26) are the NBA’s only two teams left without at least ten wins.
Boston Celtics
Boston, by contrast, still has just eight losses; it’s just one of four teams across the league — the other three being Milwaukee, Miami and the Los Angeles Lakers — with single-digit losses.
The Celtics beat the Hornets by seventeen on Tuesday, the smallest of their three victories over the Hornets this season.
Jaylen Brown was sick and didn’t play but was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career. He averaged just less than twenty-five points per game in the six games prior to falling ill.
Without Brown, Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward scored twenty-four, twenty-two and twenty-one points, respectively. Enes Kanter logged his third double-double of the season with thirteen points and fourteen rebounds.
Marcus Smart, starting in place of Brown, shot just one-of-seven from three-point range in just his second game back from an injury and eye infection.
He was, and occasionally still is, bemoaned in Boston for his poor shooting but Smart has turned into a strong leader and useful player for the Celtics.

So plan on the Celtics winning this game by double-digits. If they don’t, it will probably be either because their offense has a bad shooting night and the total stays under or because Goodwin makes the most of another opportunity to play twenty-plus minutes.
