Last year the Jays were at home and lost the first two, this year it is the Rangers who are in danger of getting swept on the road. They have not looked very good over the first couple of games and the pitching matchup is significantly against them.
If they are on the verge of getting swept it will be interesting to see if there is any extracurricular activity.
Texas is one game away from elimination after putting up the best record in the AL. The math guys have been saying all season long this team might be more lucky than good and with their two aces burnt and no wins to show for it they need some of that luck in a hurry.
This team averaged more than 4.5 runs per game and have scored just 4 in two games in the ALDS. They are just plain getting beat every which way in this one.
As they look to stave off elimination the Rangers turn to Colby Lewis. He had a good season posting a much better ERA than he did a year ago when he won 17 games.
He is experienced for sure but hardly the type to inspire a ton of confidence in an elimination game. He has been solid against the Jays this season (1-1 team record).
The need him to give the team some confidence by being sharp early.
Toronto Blue Jays
The Jays have built on their Wild Card triumph by jumping out to a 2-0 lead against the Rangers. However, as this is being written they do not know the status of Francisco Liriano.
He got hit in the head and the bullpen was already a little shaky.
The Jays showed their power in game two scoring all their runs on four homers against Yu Darvish. If they are slugging the ball like that they can beat anyone.
Aaron Sanchez quickly became the Jays best pitcher this season. He led the league in ERA while posting a 15-2 record.
His fastball is electric and more and more he is willing to trust his stuff. The Jays could not have asked for a better situation to close out Texas.
Roberto Osuna got a five out save to close out G2. It was more than they wanted to use him but with a day off in between games he should be available for G3.

Free Texas Rangers vs. Toronto Blue Jays MLB Prediction:
The Jays have a big number next to them and it is justified given what we have seen in this series and with Sanchez all season long. Hard to make an argument for Texas in this one.
The run line is the way you have to play it though. No value taking Toronto straight up.
4* Free MLB Betting Pick: Toronto -1.5
Look for the Jays to close out this one without breaking too much of a sweat. They always hit better at home and Sanchez will get an early lead and cruise to a victory. The bullpen won’t need to be a concern.
It will be another early exit for Texas at the hands of the Jays.
MLB Free Score Prediction: Toronto 6 – Texas 1
