Mike Leake returns returns to the place where he spent 5 1/2 seasons at as the Cardinals and Reds get set for battle on Tuesday night.

The Reds are probably wishing they had Mike Leake in their rotation.
Cincinnati’s pitching struggles continue to mount up this season, but things haven’t so bad for this last place team lately.
The Reds were denied a sweep and saw their 4 game losing streak come to an end on Sunday. They had a 5 run lead disappear in the loss, but the offensive outburst is quite the encouraging sign.
John Lamb who finally put an end to his 3 game losing streak will take the hill here. Lamb is just 1-3 on the season and has compiled an ERA of 5.58.
He allowed 1 run in 7.0 innings in Colorado, which is an odd as this is a place where the ball flies.
Prior to that he lasted just 3.2 innings against Milwaukee. Keeping the ball down and finding rhythm early is extremely important for him to be successful.
