These teams have both been quite average thus far this season and while that is not overly surprising for the Giants, it is surprising for the Astros who are stacked from top to bottom. The Astros problem has been mostly with their batting lineup who have collectively gotten off to a very slow start.
San Francisco Giants
The Giants have been fairly good this year considering their roster, and they have built their 7-10 record against a tough strength of schedule and they will be looking for a big comeback performance against the Astros after dropping a series to the Dodgers.
Lookout for Mike Yastrzemski to be big throughout the series, as he has gotten off to a solid start with the bat and will be looking for more come Monday.
Houston Astros
The Astros really need to get going, as the 5 game losing streak they are on becomes even more important given the shortened season. The Astros have plenty of batting power with guys like Correa and Bregman, but they have yet to hit full stride.
If the Astros are to compete in the AL West and make the playoffs they will need to get those bats going and a home series against the Giants might be just what they need to get rolling. Look for the intensity to be up for these guys as they just allowed the Athletics to get a nice lead over them in their division and they desperately need to close that gap in order to keep their postseason hopes alive.

We do not have listed pitchers yet for this contest, but I think the Astros will finally get going against a Giants team who is not overly impressive and I can see them taking this one. The Astros also had a far better record at home last year than on the road and I do not see that changing too much this year despite the lack of fans.
