Two of the most exciting teams in baseball meetup this Friday at Minute Maid Park in Houston Texas, as the San Diego Padres take on the Houston Astros.
San Diego Padres
The San Diego Padres come into this game absolutely cruising, as they have won 11 of their last 13 games, but they are coming off of a hard fought loss and a series split against the Milwaukee Brewers, so the Padres will be looking to build up some moment again to keep pace with the Dodgers in the division.
Fernando Tatis Jr. went down with injury earlier in the year and that obviously caused a lot of worry in San Diego, but he has been able to come back and be his regular self as he already has 13 home runs and 30 RBI.
Dinelson Lamet gets the start here off of the back of 3 good relief appearances, as he enters the game with a stellar 1.64 ERA and although he has been good, we are not quite sure at this point just how long he will go in this game even if he is pitching well as he very well could be on a pitch count.
Houston Astros
The Astros are absolutely stacked on paper, but they have not been able to fully find their stride yet and they will be hoping they can show up with their very best here to prove once again they can they can compete with the very best the MLB has to offer.
This offense is one of the top ranked offenses in all of baseball, and that is for good reason, as these guys can hit 1 through 9 with guys like Yuli Gurriel, Kyle Tucker, Alex Bregman and Altuve included in this team.
Framber Valdez will be activated off of the injured list for this start, so we do not really know what we will get from him or how long he will go, so the responsibility might fall on this Astros bullpen for this game who has been decent this year, but there are some seriously good bats on the other side of the equation.

Free San Diego Padres vs. Houston Astros MLB Prediction:
These teams can both hit the ball in a big way, and with the question marks about both starting pitchers here it makes the 8.5 total look a little low and I think this one can easily get over especially if these starters get hit early.
It does seem like the San Diego Padres hitters will be quite happy to be playing in this environment too, as they are coming off of a low scoring series with Milwaukee and I can see them breaking out here for plenty of runs against Framber Valdez who may not be in this one for very long.
