San Diego Padres
Padres won the first game of the series thanks to a flurry of runs in the sixth inning off a Ty France double. San Diego now has a three-game lead over the Rocks for second in the division and have a chance to build on that lead tomorrow.
San Diego leads the majors in runs scored per game averaging over 5.56 runs per game. Fernando Tatis and Manny Machado have been a wrecking crew in the middle of that lineup and continue to do damage night in and night out.
Adrian Morejon has been impressive in his first two starts in his rookie season. He has yet to pick up a win or loss but has limited base runners which is great to see for any manager in a young pitcher.
Colorado Rockies
Colorado got back to their losing ways on Friday. After jumping out to an early four-run lead thanks to a three-run home run from Charlie Blackmon in the first the Rocks pitching staff gave up 10 runs from the fifth inning on for them to take the loss.
Charlie Blackmon got his first home run since August 8th on Friday and will look to continue that momentum into the weekend. As a team, the Rockies are ranked 7th in offense in the league averaging 5.18 runs per game.
Anthony Sentzatela will have the ball for the Rockies in this game searching for his team-leading fourth win of the season. Senzatela is 3-1 with a 3.96 ERA to start 2020.

The Rockies will fight back behind Senzatela as he has been the most consistent pitcher for the Rockies all year. Padres as a great team and are going to give the Dodgers a run for their money all season, but I like the Rockies in this one.
