The Rockies put an end to their losing ways while the Mets had to deal with Clayton Kershaw on Thursday.
Now, the two teams will meet for a weekend 3 game series in Colorado starting on Friday.

The Mets will be breathing a sigh of relief heading into Friday’s game.
New York had to deal with Clayton Kershaw, who was spotted a 4 run lead. Things went as about expected. The Mets offense mustered just 3 hits in the process. Despite losing, the Mets are still 12-7 on the road this year, which is very respectable. New York will send out Matt Harvey here for the series opener. Harvey is just 3-4 on the season with a 3.50 ERA. The problem for him is that this will be his first start ever at Coors Field. That’s no easy task for any pitcher given the thin air as the ball flies out of the stadium.
Colorado Rockies
Colorado isn’t expected to be competitive this season by any means, but they’re holding strong right now.
Thanks to a division where nobody wants to take control, the Rockies sit just 1.5 games out despite having a 16-18 record on the season. The offense hasn’t been a concern at all, but the pitching certainly has. They coughed up a 7-1 lead against Arizona in the series finale and have allowed 7.87 runs per home game this season.

Colorado will send out RH Jon Gray, who is still searching for his first major league win. Gray will be making his 14th start in his career and is just 0-1 on the season. However, with a 5.40 ERA on the season, he’s struggled, especially at Coors Field.
