The offense for this team has been a different story. They rank 26th in Major League Baseball scoring under 4 runs per game. This is a massive surprise given all the offensive talent and power that this team possesses.
Montgomery pitched against the Blue Jays on May 27th and got the no decision. He worked 4.2 innings and yielded three earned runs.
Toronto Blue Jays
Coming into play, the Blue Jays are the third place team in the AL East.
They just took two games out of three at Fenway Park against the Red Sox this weekend. The offense exploded on Sunday as they scored 18 runs on 20 hits. 8 of those hits came via the long ball. They lead the league with 99 homers hit.
In his second year with the Blue Jays, Hyun Jin Ryu has been as advertised. He has been solid all year and has a 3.34 ERA.
Toronto pitching started the year off shaky, but has improved of late. Robbie Ray was very effective on Sunday against the Red Sox. As a team, they have an ERA just over 4.

I feel that the Jays have the starting pitching advantage in this one. Ryu has been the better pitcher thus far and has been tough on the Yankees. I look for this to continue when they face off Tuesday.
The Blue Jays have been trending upward recently, while New York has been skidding. I like the Blue Jays at home as favorites.
