First pitch has been moved up to 12:35 PM ET because of the threat of inclement weather in Washington. The Mets enter at 73-87, while the Nationals are 76-84 after taking Friday’s series opener 7-6.
Washington is finishing with some bite, while the Mets are trying to stop another September slide.
New York has gone 4-6 over its last 10 games, while Washington has flipped that record at 7-3. The Nationals have also won three straight, with Friday’s one-run victory continuing their strong finish.
