Two teams going in two different directions get together for a series this Sunday, as the Twins and Royals play at Kauffmann Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
Minnesota Twins
The Twins were dealt a blow by this Royals team in the first game of this series, as they fell 7-2 in that contest which was mostly down to a 3 run homer by Kansas City’s Jorge Soler in the first inning. They will look to finish this series strong here and have all the tools to do just that with an incredible batting lineup who can hit basically any pitcher in baseball.
The Twins do not have a listed starter here, but once again, the Twins usually get the job done with their bat and take the approach of simply outscoring their opponents when they are successful.
Kansas City Royals
The Royals have not had the season they were hoping for, but they do remain a competitive team, as they proved in the first game of this series and they are very capable of getting the job done here. Other than Soler look for Whit Merrifield who has been really solid so far with an average over .300 and 5 home runs already in the season.
Kris Bubic gets the call here for the Royals and he has struggled so far this year with an ERA of 5.12 and a record of 0-3. It is, however, important to remember that this guy does have strikeout stuff and he has not faced the easiest teams thus far this year.
