Miami may not look like the best team on paper but they are above .500 and in the race in the NL, including a contender for the NL East.
By comparison Detroit looks like it is could be a monster in the AL Central but has proven to be just a .500 team thus far.
They are at home and this is a chance to make up some ground but it won’t be easy.
The Marlins are feisty.

Giancarlo Stanton invites attention with those moonshot home runs but beyond that there are a lot of unknowns on this team.
Marcell Ozuna has been their top hitter this season showing the kind or promise he did two years ago as a rookie.
He and Christian Yelich are both hitting over .300 making their outfield one of the best in baseball even with Stanton disappointing.
There is nothing wrong with Tom Koehler, there is just nothing exciting about him either. He has made 15 starts this season and only three times has he given up more than 3ER.
That is very consistent even if he is no Jose Fernandez or even
Detroit Tigers
Detroit has been a .500 team and not shown an ability to be much more thus far. With Kansas City in the division and Cleveland on a big time roll it is going to be tough for them to to have the season they want to.
The offense has definitely not been the problem and it will get better too as Miguel Cabrera and JD Martinez have yet to meet reasonable expectations.
I am not sure what those really are for Justin Upton anymore.
The Pitching has been terrible for Detroit this season.
Daniel Norris is the main guy they acquired in the David Price trade and they are hoping he can be a cornerstone of the rotation.
Thus far his MLB results have been nothing special but it is still a little early to write him off. He has only made one start this season.
The stuff is there he just needs to harness it.
