The Miami Marlins will send Jordon Holloway to the mound to face off against Jorge Lopez and the Baltimore Orioles this Wednesday at Oriole Park in Baltimore Maryland.
The Marlins should be feeling awfully good about themselves coming into this game, as they are coming off of two straight wins against the San Diego Padres who are big time World Series contenders here in 2021.
Miami’s bats have not been all that good this year, but there is some sneaky power in this lineup and they cannot be taken lightly, as guys like Adam Duvall and Jesus Aguilar have both been able to put up nice numbers this year.
Jordon Holloway has just been announced as the starting pitcher for this game and enters this game with a 2-3 record and a 3.21 ERA which is obviously solid, but it is over a small sample size so it will be interesting to see how he does against Baltimore here.
The Baltimore Orioles are in full on rebuild mode, but you would not now that if you looked at their recent results, as they come into this game riding a 3 game win streak with all three of those wins coming against a pretty decent Washington Nationals side.
One guy that the Orioles have to be happy to see hitting the ball better is Ryan Mountcastle, who was a highly touted prospect who appears to be finally living up to the hype with 16 home runs now on the season.
Jorge Lopez has a record of 2-12 so far and although that is brutal, he actually has not been all that bad and I would not be surprised if he puts in an excellent outing here against a Marlins team who strikes out a bunch.
Another reason to like Lopez in this matchup is the way he has managed to pitch against the Marlins, as he has only allowed the Marlins to hit .167 against him and that number is backed up by the expected batting average number which is basically the same at .173.

Free Miami Marlins vs. Baltimore Orioles MLB Prediction:
The Baltimore Orioles are in a nice spot here at home, and I think they can keep their winning streak going against an unproven pitcher and a batting lineup which has not exactly hammered Jorge Lopez.
This Baltimore Orioles batting lineup can also be decent at times, as they might be able to have a decent second half to the season with guys like Mullins, Mancini and Mountcastle leading the charge.
