The number two seed Atlanta braves will technically be the home team in Tuesday’s matchup with the six seeded Marlins. The game will take place on a neutral field in Texas at Minute Maid Park.
Miami is undefeated in every playoff series in their team history, so let’s see if that streak continues against the Braves.
Miami Marlins
Almost everyone is shocked that the Marlins have made it to the divisional after facing the Chicago Cubs in the wildcard round of the playoffs. Thanks to some great pitching from Sandy Alcantara and Sixto Sanchez it lifted them past Chicago to a showdown with Atlanta.
Miami has the perfect combination of young talent and veteran leadership on offense. Alltogether, the Marlins average 4.31 runs per game in the regular season which was ranked 20th in the MLB.
Sandy Alcantara will be back on the bump for the fish after getting the win in the first game against Chicago. Alcantara finished the regular season with a 3-2 record and put up a 3.00 ERA in seven starts in this season.
Atlanta Braves
Braves made pretty quick work of the Reds after not surrendering a run for 23 straight innings in the two games series. Atlanta’s bullpen really stepped up after struggling with their ERA earlier in the season.
As a team, the Braves are averaging 7.33 runs per game over their last 10 games against Miami. In the regular season Atlanta averaged 5.71 runs per game which was good for second in the MLB. Their offense is led by most likely NL MVP Freddie Freeman, who came up big for them in game one for the WC series versus the Reds.
Atlanta’s young ace Max Friend will get game one start against Miami. Fried was a perfect 7-0 on the season with a 2.25 ERA in 11 games started this season. Max’s final start in the regular season was against the Marlins in which he surrendered four runs in one inning.

Free Miami Marlins vs. Atlanta Braves MLB Prediction:
I think the under is the lean here with two great pitchers going at it. Over their last three starts both pitchers have surrendered under three earned runs and have gone the distance of at least six innings. This game has pitchers duel written all over it with both the offenses struggling coming into this series. Give me the under 8 to cover.
