The Angels get a great opportunity to turn their season around this Thursday, as they travel to Seattle to take on the Mariners.
Los Angeles Angels
The Angels are a solid team on paper, especially with the bats, but they still have not been able to put all the pieces together and currently hold a record of 4-7. The Angels are too good of a team to continue to struggle and they should be able to take advantage of a Seattle team who is in a rebuilding phase.
With that said, taking a short price on the Angels would be ill-advised given the fact they have already lost a series to the Mariners this year. The Angels will have the advantage on the mound in this one, though, with Dylan Bundy heading to the mound who sports a 2.84 ERA on the season. The Mariners have a well-below standard batting lineup and this will once again be a good opportunity for Bundy to pad those numbers.
Another positive for Bundy this year is the fact that he is striking out batters at a very high rate with 15 K’s on the year in just under 13 innings pitched.
Seattle Mariners
The Mariners started out the year decently, but have now lost 4 straight and they will not have an easy time of turning things around this Thursday against the LAA Angels and Dylan Bundy. Although the Mariners are on a slide they do hand the ball to a guy who can put them in a position to win in Taijuan Walker who has shown some excellent stuff considering he is coming back after two years on the sideline due to Tommy John.
.Although the Angels have a potent batting lineup, Walker does have the ability to keep this one close and even give the Mariners a chance to win.

The best way to go here is play the total, unless the Angels come out as heavy favorites, then a play on the Mariners would be warranted. I do not expect a ton of value to be on the sides though, as I think the under could be a good play here. The Angels and Mariners played a series earlier this year and they combined for 42 runs in their 3 game series.
I think we could see a bit of an over-reaction from that small sample size from the bookies and I am expecting the opening number to be a bit higher than it should, and given this pitching matchup I think the under is very realistic.
