The Colorado Rockies will be leaving the home confines of Coors Field this Friday when they take on the San Francisco Giants and Johnny Cuteo at Oracle Park in San Francisco.

The pitchers have no doubt had a huge roll in the last two wins, as the Rockies on gave up 3 runs combined in those two contests and now Auston Gomber gets the opportunity to continue on with the Rockies solid pitching performances.
Gomber was done no favors by his defense in his first start of the year, as two fielding errors helped in his departure from the game after 3 innings. He did only allow one earned run in that loss against the Dodgers, but it was the seven walks he issued during that game which were concerning and he will not be going up against quite the batting lineup here in San Francisco then he was against LA, but there is still enough talented bats who can take advantage if Gomber doesn’t show up with some quality pitching.
San Francisco Giants
Low scoring and fundamentally sound baseball appear to be the name of the game here in 2021 for the Giants, as none of their last 4 games have had more then 5 runs in it, as the Giants look to take a page out of the Tampa Bay Rays playbook.
Unfortunately their last series against the Padres saw superstar Fernando Tatis Jr get injured which is just not a good thing for baseball as a whole to lose such an exciting player. Despite that news the Giants were able to pick up the victory in that last game against the Padres with a score of 3-2 with Darin Ruf being the hero and batting in the winning runs.
Veteran righty Johnny Cueto will start in this spot and he is a live by the sword die by the sword kind of guy, as he loves to pound the strike zone with fastballs and although that can lead to big games with a ton of strikeouts it can also lead to games where he gets batted all around the park by the opposition.
