Two teams with vastly different trajectories meet up this Thursday when the Indians take on the Pirates at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Cleveland Indians
The Indians have started out great this year at 14-9, but that start has not proven to be enough to sit atop the AL Central, as they still sit 1.5 games behind the red hot Minnesota Twins. Franmil Reyes and Jose Ramierz have really stepped up for the Indians with both of them hitting for a decent enough average and both having 5 home runs.
They are going through a soft patch in their schedule and these guys are taking advantage and I would not expect that to change here on Thursday.
Shane Bieber heads to the mount for the Indians and he should just cut through this poor Pirates batting lineup with ease, so seeing Bieber in the 7th inning would not surprise me.
Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pirates look to be the worst team in baseball with their 5-13 record and I would not expect anything else but a series win or sweep here for the Indians. The only guy really hitting for power in this batting lineup is Colin Moran with 6 homers already on the season, with his problem being average all the way down in the .220’s.
The Pirates do send one of their better pitchers to the mound here, however, as Trevor Williams gets the call. Williams has been solid as of late and now holds a 1-3 record and a 3.98 ERA, so he will not be an easy task for the Indians batters.

I think the Indians understand the value of every game this year especially because of the situation in their division so I see them being able to take care of business with Shane Bieber on the hill. The Indians will be big favorites though, so I am going with the runline here in order to reduce a bit of the juice.
