The Indians exacted some revenge on Saturday after getting thumped on Friday night at Yankee Stadium. The Yanks took game 1 by an 8 – 0 score and the Indians were up 8 – 0 by the tp of the 5th inning yesterday.
Luis Gil has two pitches and the Indians made him pay for not being able to locate his slider on Saturday afternoon. Gil wasn’t the only problem for Aaron Boone because the Yanks manager brought on Abreu and THE WHEELS FELL OFF!
Gil had only allowed 1 ER but he left the game after 88 pitches in the 5th with two men on base and no one out. Abreu came in to relieve him and here it is how his outing went…
1st pitch… double, and 1 run in to make it 2 – 0.
3rd pitch… HBP, which came after a hysterical foul ball drop by Sanchez behind the plate on a simple play right at home plate. The Boos ensued and it just got worse from there.
Abreu’s 5th pitch… 2-run double and 4 – 0 Tribe. 10th pitch… Single, RBI, and up to 5 – 0 Tribe. 12th pitch… BOOM! A 3-run HR for the Indians and Aaron Boone’s brains were oozing out all over the dugout floor for leaving the dude in the game long enough to get COMPLETELY TORCHED in what was a 1-run game going into the 5th.
IN A PLAYOFF CHASE!! They won’t be in any playoff chase for much longer playing baseball like that!
Cleveland Indians
The Indians won’t be a post-season participant and they are doing all they can to keep the Yankees out of the playoffs too. After getting thumped on Friday night the Tribe responded in a big way and it was 8 – 0 before the end of the 5th inning.
Yu Chang has a nice afternoon homering in his 1st AB and picking up a huge 2-run double that really just shut the door for the Yanks in the 5th.
Franmil Reyes made it 10 – 0 in the top of the 6th after Boone brought in Home Run Heaney. HR Heaney, baby! That dude gives up bombs like you eat Wings on a Sunday afternoon tailgate party! When the Yankees brought him to NY knowing the short porch is there and hoping a lefty could help the rotation? Yeah, he is not in the rotation anymore and he should also be on that taco truck serving soft drinks!
Everything that went wrong for the Indians on Friday went the complete opposite on Saturday in the Bronx. Now, they will go for the series win on Sunday with Eli Morgan, and that is also hysterical. Morgan is the definition of a gas can and has been torched more than a marshmallow on a s’more this season.
The ERA over 6 tells you plenty of the story and if you need someone to hit a homer? Just ask Morgan to take the mound because he can also give up bombs like no one’s business and he just gave up two more in his last start against Milwaukee.
NY Yankees
Aaron Boone will likely be dismissed when the regular season ends. The dude has no idea how to manage a taco stand much less a baseball team and it gets worse every day. Steinbrenner has stated he doesn’t want to make a change during the season, but he will get his chance in a few weeks when the regular season ends and the Yanks are out of the post-season.
Just when Yankee fans seem to think the team might be playing well? They do what they did on Saturday to remind everyone how bad it really is.
Gary Sanchez? Should be the dude serving the tacos in Aaron Boone’s truck and I am not saying that other than to mean that job would suit him better than catching a baseball! Those two even having jobs in baseball is utterly hysterical and Yankee fans can only hope they both leave town soon.
Joey Gallo left Saturday’s game in the 3rd inning after his neck issue simply became too much to deal with. We saw him cringe last night in the dugout and again today when he flew out in the 2nd inning. He immediately went to the left side of his neck and walked right down the dugout steps into the locker room and his day was over.
Gerritt Cole is pitching on Sunday, and that will certainly have Sanchez as a bystander watching the game. Cole refuses to pitch with Sanchez because of his inability to stop anything or call a game either.

Free Cleveland Indians vs. New York Yankees MLB Prediction:
I like this over on Sunday, even with Cole out there today. I can see a close game too so I will turn to that RL and hope the Tribe hangs around to keep it a 1-run game, at least.
4* Free MLB Betting Pick: Tribe +1.5 +120
The play is the Tribe to cover the Runline with plus money on the board
