If the Reds want to keep some semblance of a playoff hope they need to deal with a poor Marlins side in this game.
The Reds send Alex Wood (1-3, 6.07 ERA) to the hill who has been pretty bad since starting for Cincy.
Alex Wood is coming off a weird outing against the Pirates when he went 5.1 innings and surrendered 4 runs on only 2 hits.

If Wood can prevent the runs and pitch those 5.1 innings of 2 hit ball, he can put the Reds in an excellent position to take home the W.
Miami Marlins
The Marlins have been pretty brutal this season and not much has changed in their last 10 only winning two of those contests.
Their failures are mostly down to pitching as they have been hitting some runs, especially at home.
That is probably not going to change for the Fins when they send Robert Dugger (0-1, 10.80 ERA) to the mound.
The young Tucson, Arizona native is coming off a rough debut against the Mets last time out where he gave up 6 runs in 5 innings pitched.
He also holds and ERA over 5 in the minors this year so it is kind of tough to see how he succeeds in this spot.
