Clayton Kershaw (1-0) was dominant as he threw seven perfect innings, allowing no runs on no hits with no walks and thirteen strikeouts to earn the win. Manager Dave Roberts received some criticism for pulling Kerhsaw six out from a perfect game but Kershaw didn’t have a problem with the move. “It’d be special. But at the end of the day, those are individual things. Those are selfish goals, and we’re trying to win.” said Kershaw.
Second baseman Gavin Lux has been the most consistent hitter in the Dodger’s lineup thus far. Lux has a team high .353 average, .400 OBP, and 5 RBI’s.
