It is a little bit far off at this point, but the Reds now find themselves only 7 games back in the division and if they can finish the season strong they will be able to make this division interesting come the end of September.
The Reds have leaned on their offense all season long coming in here with the 5th best offense in the league which has now scored 568 runs on the season and that is not overly surprising given the sluggers they have in this lineup.
The guy on the hill for the Reds in this spot will be Vladimir Gutierrez and that is good news for Reds fans as he has only allowed 4 runs in his last 3 games which spanned 19.1 innings, so he has been in excellent forms recently.
Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves are now finally starting to get rolling, as they have now closed the gap in the NL East to just 1 game after a solid 6-1 run in their last 7 games and they are really proving plenty with this recent run, as they are now right in the mix for the division title and the playoffs.
The Braves, despite not having Ronald Acuna Jr., still have one of the better offenses in the league with guys like Freddie Freeman and Ozzie Albies really doing work and carrying a big portion of this Braves offense.
Kyle Muller is another guy who has been rolling lately, and he will go to the hill here for the Braves and he should be set up for success here, as he has only allowed 4 runs over his last 3 outings which was over 14.2 innings of work.

Vladimir Gutierrez has also been solid so far this year, but I have more confidence that the Braves can get to him, as there are plenty of solid individual matchups with the amount of strong lefties the Braves have.
