Two dumpster fire teams begin their series in Atlanta as the Cincinnati Reds head to Turner Field to take on the Braves. Neither team has had much to cheer for this year, and both teams are a combined 40 games under .500.
Cincinnati Reds
The Reds have gotten comfortable in the cellar of the NL Central, and it’s a place most people thought they’d be this year.
Cincinnati’s offense hasn’t been terrible, but the pitching has been absolutely atrocious.

The Reds are last in the majors in ERA, WHIP and home runs allowed, and nearly every starting pitcher they have would be in the bullpen on any other team.
The Reds will send Daniel Wright to the mound in place of the struggling Alfredo Simon, but it’s tough to say if it will really be an upgrade. Simon has an ERA of nearly 10.00 this year, and Wright owns one of 7.20.
His WHIP is also 2.00 and he’s yet to pick up a win in any appearance this season.
Atlanta Braves
If there’s one team that’s worse than the Reds, it’s the Atlanta Braves.
The Braves are 25 games under .500 and have no sense of direction. Their roster is hardly a major-league roster and it’s why they are so terrible this year.
The team has no pitching and no hitting, ranking dead last in slugging percentage, OPS and home runs.

They’ll send Aaron Blair to the mound, who has similar numbers to Cincinnati’s Daniel Wright.
Blair is 0-4 this year with a 7.13 ERA. His 1.84 WHIP can be attributed to the fact that he has one more walk than he does strikeouts, which is not a good stat for any pitcher.
He’s yet to finish six innings in any start and allowed six earned runs in his last home start against the Giants.
MLB Baseball Betting Trends:

Free Cincinnati Reds vs. Atlanta Braves MLB Prediction:
Both of these teams are dumpster fires and there’s no point in putting my money on either of them to win. Having said that, both of these starting pitchers are terrible, so I’ll stick with the total.
Atlanta might have a disastrous offense, but Daniel Wright has an ERA above 7.00, so the Braves are sure to get some runs in.
The same can be said for the Reds against Aaron Blair who is equally terrible.
