Chicago White Sox
The White Sox are hot right now and have gone 11-2 in their last 13 games to claim first place in the AL Central from the Indians on Sunday.
Rookie Luis Robert has made himself an early candidate for AL Rookie of the Year. Robert’s nine home runs and 22 RBI’s ranks 1st among all rookies in those categories. As a team, the Sox are mashing the ball averaging 5.18 runs per game.
Lucas Gioltio will be back on the bump after coming off his first career no-hitter. Giolito has turned his season around after a few shaky starts to begin the year but is looking like his 2019 self. He is 3-2 with a 3.20 ERA on the year in seven starts.
Minnesota Twins
Twins got swept in Detroit over the weekend as their road struggles on the year continue. The loss knocked back to third-place in the central, but have a chance to make up some ground here taking on the 1st place Sox. Minnesota is 8-12 on the road and 12-3 at home so hopefully being back at Target Field can kick start some offense.
Twins average 4.47 runs per game and most of those runs come from home runs. Nelson Cruz tied Fernado Tatis Jr. for the league lead with 13 home runs over the weekend when he blasted two against the Tigers.
Rich Hill will be on the mound for the Twinsies looking for his second win of the season. Hill is 1-1 with a 3.55 ERA in three appearances.

Minnesota needs these wins to not fall too far behind as the Tigers are lingering behind after sweeping them over the weekend. Giolito will be riding high off of his no-hitter and I expect him to not perform at that level again here.
