The White Sox and Astros will square off for the 4th and final game of the series Sunday at 2:10 ET.
The Astros have won the first two games of the series by a combined score of 12-3.
Dallas Keuchel will go for the White Sox and Lance McCullers Jr. will be going for the Astros.
Chicago White Sox
So far in this series the White Sox have struggled. They still have a good record of 43-27.
This team is in 1st place in the American League Central, 3.5 games ahead of the Indians.
Before this series against the Astros, they took 2 out of 3 against the Rays.
Their play has not carried over into this series. They need to bounce back in the final 2 games.
Dallas Keuchel will be going against his former team. So far this year, he has looked good with a 6-1 record and a 3.66 ERA. His last outing was excellent as he went 7 scoreless innings against the Rays. He will look to continue that success against the Astros.
This Chicago pitching has been very good this year with a 3.26 ERA. This is 5th best in baseball. Even with that, their pitching got roughed up in game 1 for 10 runs, but was much better in game 2.
Throughout the year, this offense has been very good. However, in this series, they have really struggled to put runs on the board, scoring a combined 3 runs. They will need to fix that up if they want to beat the Astros.
Tim Anderson and Jose Abreu have been key hitters in their lineup. Second baseman Nick Madrigal is out for the season after getting injured.
Chicago has only hit 67 home runs which is 24th in baseball. I would expect that number to be much higher.
Houston Astros
The Astros just continue to play good baseball. They have had a really impressive season and that continued in the first two games of this series.
Houston has a record of 41-28 which puts them in 2nd place in the American League West. They are 2 games behind the Athletics.
The Astros have won their last 5 games and 10 out of their last 13. The hitting and pitching have both been effective so far in this series.
Lance McCullers Jr. has been pitching like his old self this year. He has an ERA under 3. His last outing only went 4.1 innings against the Rangers on Tuesday.
Their pitching staff has an ERA of 3.68 which puts them in 10th place. They have gotten 2 impressive starts from Jose Urquidy and Luis Garcia.
The offense is still the best in the sport. They are scoring 5.57 runs per game and have hit 92 home runs which is 7th best in baseball.

Chicago White Sox vs. Houston Astros MLB Prediction:
So far in this series, the White Sox have looked off. Give credit to the Astros on offense and pitching for causing this to happen. The Astros have looked like the better team in every category so far.
I am not surprised that Houston has won, but I am surprised how lopsided it has been. Chicago is looking to get back on Track on Saturday with Lance Lynn on the mound.
This is a pitching matchup between two former teammates. I think it is a pretty even matchup, but I give the edge to McCullers Jr. For as good as Keuchel has been this year, I think he will have some trouble keeping this Houston offense at bay. I think McCullers will have to go deeper into the game than he did last time and I am confident he can do that. For these reasons, I feel confident in the Astros taking this one.
I will take the Astros as short home favorites.
