The first-place Indians host the sliding White Sox as two AL Central rivals conclude their series in Cleveland.
Chicago White Sox
The White Sox were kings of the AL Central just two weeks ago, but the collapse of their bullpen and the resurgence of the Indians have dropped the Sox to 4th in the division.

Chicago has been led by their pitching for the whole year, but the offense hasn’t done much at all.
The Sox rank 20th in OBP, 26th in slugging and 26th in home runs.
They need their bats to get going, and it’s going to be tough against a guy like Carlos Carrasco.
The Sox will send Carlos Rodon to the mound, who comes in with a 2-6 record and a 4.28 ERA.
The young lefty has a 4.06 ERA away from U.S. Cellular Field, and the White Sox are just 3-9 when he starts.
Cleveland Indians
The Indians have surprised everybody and find themselves atop the AL Central with fewer than 100 games left on the schedule. The Tribe have a better offense than the Sox, and their pitching has also been phenomenal this season.
Despite Corey Kluber’s struggles, the Indians still have Danny Salazar and Carlos Carrasco to get the job done.

Carrasco, who missed six weeks due to injury, seems to be finding his rhythm after missing so much time. He is 2-2 with a 3.40 ERA and an impressive WHIP of just 1.21. The Indians have lost Carrasco’s last two starts, but both of those starts were on the road.
He’s also been the victim of a lack of run support, but I think the Indians’ bats will come alive against the struggling Rodon.
