Cleveland Indians
The Indians were asked to do a lot lately and it caught up with them in a big way.
Playing 20 games in 20 days, along with a west coast trip, capped off with a stop in Kansas City on the way back was not the most ideal of situations. The Indians were swept in Kansas City and now hold just a 0.5 game lead on the Royals, while the rest of the central is right behind them.
Cleveland’s offense went extremely cold in Kansas City, scoring just 7 runs. Prior to the road trip, the Indians offense was hitting the ball all over the place. They have averaged 5.41 runs per game at home this season.
The Indians will send out Trevor Bauer here, who has pitched well as of late. Bauer received a ND in Los Angeles as he pitched 8.0 strong innings, but was on the wrong side of some bad defense and bloop hits.
