They Diamondbacks are in a super tough division and they are tasked with the brutal task of catching the LA Dodgers, but they have been doing their best to do just that winning 7 of their last 10 contests. Oakland Athletics
The Athletics feel like a similar team to the Rays who had plenty of hype in preseason, but that hype did not really carry over to the Athletics. The Athletics are showing plenty of promise this year as they have a solid lead at the top of their division and are using the same fundamental style of baseball the Rays use to pick up W’s.
That will make them a tough out in their now likely postseason run and a lot of their success has to come down to the pitching staff who have been solid thus far this year.
That type of quality pitching does not stop in this one as Jesus Lozardo gets the call for the A’s in this contest. Lozardo does not have the greatest numbers this year with an ERA approaching 5, but he is coming off his worst start of his young career and he has shown me plenty of promise to believe he is primed for a solid comeback start here.
