The D-backs have finally found their September heater, which is useful considering the calendar isn’t leaving much room for another one.
Colorado is 57-101 and has dropped three straight. The Rockies have scored only six runs during that skid, including five through the first two games of this series.

Rodriguez owns a 2.89 ERA this season and has allowed only three earned runs over 12.1 innings against Colorado. The Rockies have also scored just six runs during their current three-game losing streak.
An Under at Coors always comes with a little danger, but Rodriguez is the right guy to try it with.
Tanner Gordon is obviously the concern. His 6.01 ERA isn’t helping us, but Arizona has scored seven and five runs in the first two games of this series without turning either one into a full Coors Field circus.
The weather helps a little, too, with a breeze expected to blow in. Give me Rodriguez to control Colorado and enough from Gordon to keep this below double digits.
