4* Free Week 7 NCAA Betting Prediction: Houston +3
We know on paper that WV looks like the better team here, and if you lined up the tale of the tape there’s probably be a ton of advantages in every position for WV, but sometimes I have to trust my gut. This seems like one of those times.
West Virginia has had some turnover problems in their passing game this year, and last week, the Cougars scored 28 points against the Red Raiders, and they currently maintain an average of 414 yards per game, a ranking that places them 53rd in the nation.
Houston will want to get right in front of the home crowd. The Cougars fan base can really get fired up. I think the Cougars will feed off the home crowd to keep this one within the number.
I’m going with Houston as the home underdogs to cover the spread at +3.
My model calls for 55 total points in this one. So it’s a good lean to the OVER.
The total has gone OVER in 12 of Houston’s last 18 games.
