Here’s a look at the New York Giants’ schedule for the upcoming season.

Week 1: Sun, Sept. 13 at Cowboys

It’s always a good show when these two NFC East rivals meet. The Giants had the Cowboys’ number for a lot of years, but Dallas has spent years assembling its roster with the Giants in mind.

Week 2: Sun, Sept. 20 vs. Falcons

Both the Giants and Falcons will be installing new defenses this offseason, and the Falcons at the very least will bring a potent offense to the table.

Week 3: Thurs, Sept. 24 vs. Redskins

A second division rival in a span of 11 days, and a second prime time game at that. New York is lucky to be able to stay home on the short week.

Week 4: Sun, Oct. 4 at Bills

Going on the road to face a tough Bills team under new head coach Rex Ryan will be no easy task, but the Giants will have some extra prep time to scout Ryan’s scheme.

Week 5: Sun, Oct. 11 vs. 49ers

The 49ers have had a trying offseason, and will be playing 2015 under a new head coach. They could still be figuring things out by Week 5.

Week 6: Mon, Oct. 19 at Eagles

A third prime time game against a division rival in the first six weeks of the season for the Giants. Chip Kelly’s team endured a lot of roster turnover this offseason, but one would have to figure he’ll have all his ducks in a row by Week 6.

Week 7: Sun, Oct. 25 vs. Cowboys

The Giants will be happy to get the Cowboys out of the way early, if only because it means they won’t have to face Greg Hardy.

Week 8: Sun, Nov. 1 at Saints

The Saints are in a bit of a rebuild at the moment, but it still has to be tough seeing a trip to the Superdome on the schedule for Tom Coughlin and the Giants.

Week 9: Sun, Nov. 8 at Buccaneers

The Giants will get their first look at No. 1 overall draft pick Jameis Winston in his new home in Week 9. The Buccaneers have always looked good on paper and it will be interesting to see whether Winston was that missing piece, and if another year under Lovie Smith helps to turn things around for that underachieving defense.

Week 10: Sun, Nov. 15 vs. Patriots

The Giants and Patriots have some history with a pair of recent Super Bowl matchups. Bill Belichick usually has his team rolling by this time of year.

Week 11: BYE

Week 12: Sun, Nov. 29 at Redskins

A second date with the Redskins and this one comes on the road. Having their bye week to prepare will help negate some of that disadvantage.

Week 13: Sun, Dec. 6 vs. Jets

The battle for New York is always a game worth watching, and this one in particular will be fun to watch with the matchup of Odell Beckham Jr. and Darrelle Revis.

Week 14: Mon, Dec. 14 at Miami

Getting the Dolphins this late in the season is usually a good, except that advantage is negated by the fact that this game will be played in the warm weather of Miami. At least it will give Eli Manning and the Giants’ passing game another week to shine.

Week 15: Sun, Dec. 20 vs. Panthers

The Panthers’ defense took some time to come together a year ago, and by the time they did they were shutting teams down. Tough break for the Giants catching them this late in the season.

Week 16: Sun, Dec. 27 vs. Vikings

Having to go out to Minnesota this late in the year is going to make for miserable conditions, but the Giants should be used to that playing in New York. This one figures to feature a lot of Andre Williams.

Week 17: Sun, Jan 3 vs. Eagles

The NFC East feels like it’s decided in the final week of the season more often than not, and after some down years the Giants would love to have something to play for in Week 17.
