The New Jersey Devils try to match a season-high when they seek their second straight victory Tuesday against the visiting Minnesota Wild. They have been hot as of late. In their last game, New Jersey defeated Detroit 5-1 on Saturday for its third win in five games
Minnesota extended its point streak to six games (3-0-3) after a 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers in New York on Monday with Alex Stalock making 28 saves in his fourth straight start as No. 1 goaltender Devan Dubnyk attends to a family matter
On a light NHL slate, this game may see a bit more attention than it deserves, as both teams are below 500. Still, there are some things to like in this game, and at the moment it presents an interesting betting opportunity.

This should be an interesting game. Both teams are coming in playing better hockey than their record suggests. Stay tuned for our pick.
Minnesota Wild
The Wild have struggled mightily this year and it’s hard to find one aspect they are doing particularly well. They are 2nd last in the entire Western conference, and 2nd last in Western conference scoring.
That being said, they’ve turned it around as of late. They are 5-2-3 in their last 10. Zach Parise has been doing better recently, as he leads the team with 9 goals. Still, they are rather anemic offensively.
Kaapo Kahkonen, who was recalled from AHL Iowa on an emergency basis, is expected to make his NHL debut Tuesday with coach Bruce Boudreau telling reporters: “I have no problem playing him whenever the opportunity arises.”
Kahkonen, 23, was 7-2-2 with a 2.47 goals-against average and .909 save percentage with Iowa.

New Jersey Devils
Offensively, the team has been happy to have Taylor Hall back for this season. Taylor Hall, the 2018 Hart Trophy winner, scored in each of the last two games and has five points in his past four contests to raise his team-high point total to 20.
He has been effective with his long term linemate, Kyle Palmieri. Kyle Palmieri on Saturday scored his club-best eighth goal of the season
New Jersey has killed 16-of-18 penalties in its last six games. They come into this one 5-5-0 in their last 10, and victorious in their last game.
Starting in net for the Devils should be Louis Domingue. His stats on the season are: 1-0-0 W-L | 0.77 GAA | 0.96 SV% | 0 SO
