This matchup will be between the Los Angeles Kings and the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres will come into this game on the 2nd end of a back to back. They played Anaheim the night before, so travel time is minimal
Buffalo’s hot start has surprised a lot of fans as they find themselves 2nd in the league table. Their offense has been unstoppable, and newly acquired Victor Olofsson has been a big piece of their powerplay.

The Kings are in the midst of a pseudo rebuild, while still having an aging core. They have started the season sluggish as they have struggled to get good goaltending out of Jonathan Quick.
This game will be interesting as it is likely that the Sabres will still be a little tired from the game before. LA is currently 2nd in the league in shots per game so they may have the puck most of the night.
Buffalo Sabres
The Buffalo Sabres have come flying out of the gate to start the season in the hopes of finally making the playoffs. As a hockey fan, I will admit that the team looks different. They have acquired some nice depth pieces in the offseason to support their core.
The talented Jack Eichel and Rasmus Dahlin have stepped up so far this season. Jack Eichel currently has 9 points in 6 games and Rasmus Dahlin has 8 in 6. They have been dynamite on the PP together.
The Buffalo Sabres are still without Conor Sheary who started the season off as an excellent third-liner for them. Chipping in a few goals before being injured.

Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings are in a state of flux right now. Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty are still great players, but the rest of the team has fallen off. Jeff Carter does not look like an effective player anymore.
More concerningly is Jonathan Quick. The man who led the Kings to 2 Stanley Cup championships is finding himself near backup territory as Jack Campbell has been more consistent this year (and last year)
Los Angeles does not score many goals and if there is a way to keep the puck out of their net they will focus on that, first and foremost. They will lean heavily on Kopitar, Kovalchuk, and Brown to light the lamp in this one.
One injury of note is that Drew Doughty was forced out of last game and remains questionable for this game. Without Doughty, there is a big drop in their defense.

Free Buffalo Sabres vs. Los Angeles Kings NHL Prediction:
I think this is going to be a low scoring game. The Sabres will be a little tired and the Kings will be looking to grind the puck down low in the Sabres zone.
