A pair of 3-1 teams will face each other when the Chicago Bears host the Buccaneers at Soldier Field on October 8th, 2020 at 8:20 p.m. Chicago is coming off a loss against the Colts 19-11 while the Buccaneers had a come from behind win against the Chargers.
It will be a rematch of the Super Bowl 52 quarterbacks with Nick Foles being under center for the Bears and Tom Brady for the Bucs.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Since losing to the Saints in week one the Bucs have now won three in a row and own the top spot in the NFC South. They have a one-game lead over the Saint so we will see if that loss will come back to haunt them later in the season.
Tom Brady had a vintage performance after being down 24-7 with two minutes to go in the first half. Tom threw for a TD right before halftime to cut the deficit to 24-14 and then came out to start the second half with another TD to cut the lead to 24-21.
Overall, Brady completed 30 of 46 passes for 290 yards to go along with his five touchdowns and one interception. The interception really hurt them though as it was a pick-six for the Chargers.
Mike Evans also had himself a nice game leading the team in receiving with 122 yards and had a touchdown in the game as well. Five different receivers were on the other end of a touchdown pass from Brady and it goes to show the weapons Tom now has in Tampa.
Chicago Bears
It didn’t go well for Nick Foles in his first start for the Bears after being the comeback kid for them in the game against the Falcons. Matt Nagy made the change to Foles as the starting QB this past week and now has a big decision to make heading into this game on who he is going to ride with under center.
Mitch Trubisky did not make an appearance in this game, but don’t be surprised if Nick continues to struggle that Nagy will turn back to Mitch.
Foles didn’t seem comfortable the entire game against the Colts. His throws were either high or too far outside for receivers all day and he just didn’t get the offense to click until the final drive.
Foles completed 26 of 42 passes for 249 yards to go with a touchdown and an interception. Hopefully, he will be named this week’s starter and get another shot to solidify the job.
Defensively, the Bears weren’t themselves in the first three games of the season but seemed to be back to normal this past. They held the Colts to just one touchdown which occurred in the first quarter.
Roquan Smith came up huge for the defensive front with the absence of Eddie Goldman. Smith led the team with 13 combined tackles on the day and three of them were for a loss of yards.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Over 44.5
I think the over is the play here as Tom Brady is going to be able to put up some points on the board and the Tampa Bay defense hasn’t been the best to start the year.
Tampa has surrendered at least 25+ points in three of their 4 games this season and Nick Foles has to ability to put up points quick against a weak defense. Give me the Over 44.5 to cover in this one.
