The New York Jets come to town as they prepare to face the Indianapolis Colts at home in Lucas Oil Stadium at 4:05 on Sunday, September 27th, 2020. The Colts are coming off a win against the Vikings while the Jets were defeated by the 49ers last Sunday.
New York Jets
The Jets may be the worst team in the NFL through two weeks so far this season. They have been blown out of water in not one, but both games so far and it hasn’t even been close.
The 49er’s suffered a plethora of injuries last Sunday including an injury to QB Jimmy Garropolo and the Jets still couldn’t steal a game from the NFC defending Champs. Adam Gase is looking like he is going to be the first coach fired this season as he isn’t living up to expectations.
Sam Darnold hasn’t looked great in the first two starts, but it could be because he literally has no one to throw to. Leveon Bell hit the injured list after the first game of the season and it looks like he won’t play for the Jets again as long as Gase is the head coach.

Darnold’s #1 target Jamison Crowder and Brashad Perriman did not practice this week and it looks like they will be without them this weekend in Indianapolis. Expect a lot of Braxton Berrios and Frank Gore as they are at the top of the depth chart list going into the weekend.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Jets look very different this season as they traded away All-Pro safety Jamal Adams to the Seahawks and are still trying to fill the void he left. New York has surrendered an average of 29 points in their first two games, so you could say they are missing Adams a lot.
Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis picked up their first win of the season last week versus the Kirk Cousins led Vikings. Philip Rivers looked shaky in his first start against the Jaguars but settled down in Week 2.
Rivers completed 19 of 25 passes against the Vikings for 214 yards to go with his touchdown and interception. Tight-end Mo-Allie Cox led the team in receiving against the Vikings catching 5 of 6 targets for 111 yards on the day. Zach Pascal was the only receiver for the Colts that found the endzone getting his first touchdown of the year.
Jonathon Taylor may be the steal of the draft as the Colts picked up 2019 College Football’s leading rusher in the second round. Taylor was amazing in his first start for the Colt’s gathering over 100 yards on the ground and even grabbed a score. He was getting 3.88 yards per attempt against the Vikings and if the rook can keep up this kind of production there is no reason he can’t be Offensive Rookie of the Year.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Over 43.5
I love the over here as Philip Rivers will have a chance to show the country what he can do with this Colts offense. New York may have the worst defense in the league with the departure of Jamal Adams and the Colts need to take advantage. They have a lot of playmakers on the receiving side of the ball, but old man Rivers has yet to find them. I also think the Jets stay competitive in this one as Adam Gase is already on the hot-seat to begin the season. That’s why I’m riding with the over 43.5 in this game.
