The Giants are definitely in and have to be liking their chances after having beaten Dallas twice this season. The question is who will they play in a couple of weeks.
I am not sure of all the permutations but it looks obvious to me that the Redskins need at least one more win to be in the mix. I am not sure it is a guarantee though.
Kick off is set for 4:25 PM ET with the Redskins in pure desperation mode. I don’t think the Giants can advance their position but they can knock out a rival.
New York Giants
Even though they have the second most wins in the conference heading into the final week the Giants are resigned to Wild Card status. They lost last week against Philly and close the week out taking on another division rival.
It would be nice to see if they can get the offense going this week as it has been up and down all season longs.
Odell Beckham Jr is a nice weapon but the Giants are only 25th in scoring this seasons. They are terrible at running the ball which might be their undoing in the playoffs.
The Giants gave up 24 points to the Eagles but they are still third in points allowed heading into the final week of the season.
The defense has been good all season but they might be resting up on this side of the ball on Sunday. Especially in the secondary where several guys have been banged up.
If this game mattered to New York they would be a good team to back on the road but it simply doesn’t.
The Redskins stayed alive last week with a convincing win over Chicago but their work isn’t done.
They are helped this week because the game is meaningless to New York but this team is so sporadic who knows what that will mean. What we do know is that it will be up to Kirk Cousins to get the job done.
He has had another fine season and is looking to get a big payday and a win in a big game will only help his cause. He had a very good game against New York when they beat the Giants back in Week 3 – 106 rating.
This game might determines whether he is a Redskin next season.
The defense has been sluggish this season and in that win over New York bac in September they gave up 27 points to Eli and Co.
They have to play to win and against a vanilla offense (I am assuming) they should have some success.
The pass rushing duo of Ryan Kerrigan and Trent Murphy is among the best in the league. Washington has to elevate themselves this week not play down to the competition.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Washington -7.5
I am really expecting the Giants to dial it back this week. Beating Washington would be great but not if it comes at the price of anyone important.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Washington 31 – New York 19
This game is later in the day so it could be effected by some of the early results. I am not saying wait, just be aware.
