We got an NFC East showdown on our hands Thursday night with the New York Giants traveling down to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in a prime time game. Both these teams come into this game with one win, so someone will leave Philly with double the wins.
New York Giants
The Giants grabbed their first win of the season this past Sunday against the Washington Football Team and will try to make it two in a row on Thursday. New York grabbed the victory thanks to Washington’s coach Ron Rivera deciding to go for a two-point conversion that would have either won or lost them the game if they got it, but it failed.
The only positive thing for Giants fans this season, is that the whole NFC East is doing terribly and not just them. Three out of the four teams in the East have just one win and the other team has just two wins.
New York put up 34 points on Dallas a couple of weeks ago, but they have averaged just 13.4 ppg in their other five games this year. Daniel Jones has not looked great in his second year out of Duke, but he hasn’t had much help. Jones has completed 123 of 201 passes for 1223 yards to go along with three touchdowns and six interceptions.
Daniel Jones threw for his first passing touchdown since week one against the Football Team, and that’s not a stat you want to hear for your quarterback heading into week 7.

The defense has been very good for the Giants through six games except for the one game down in Dallas. New York is allowing just 25.3 points per game and ranks 12th in the league in yards allowed. Not too bad for a team that is 1-5 on the year.
Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia almost had a miraculous comeback at the end of the game against the Ravens, but ultimately lost 30-28. The Eagles had a chance to tie the game in regulation with a good two-point conversion, but the team failed to convert.
At one point, Philly was down 24-0 and it was all Carson Wentz that willed them to make any sort of comeback. Wentz completed 21 of 40 passes for 213 yards to go with two touchdowns on the day, but the numbers don’t show how good he actually was.
Wentz and Jason Kelce are the only offensive starters still active from the first game of the season. Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz both left the game due to injury and it’s crazy what the Eagles have to deal with injury-wise.
The Eagles enter this game ranked 27th in total offense, 26th in passing, 12th in rushing, and 22nd in scoring at 23.5 ppg.
Defensively, the Eagles have been very solid against the passing game which has been a weakness of theirs in the past, but now they are struggling to contain the running game. The Birds allowed the Ravens to run all over them putting up 183 yards and they now fall to the 22nd ranked team against rushing attacks. Overall, Philadelphia is allowing 29.2 points per game.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Over 44.5
I think the Over 44.5 is the right play here. The Eagles need a bounce-back spot and what better way to do it than against a weak Giants team. Philadelphia has been riddled with injuries all season and FINALLY are getting some players back. Alshon Jeffery and Desean Jackson should be good to go for this game and Carson might put up over 30 points for the first time this season. Davonte Freeman might have the chance to have his best game as a Giant as the Eagles are thin at linebacker and he can run all over the field. Give me the over 44.5 to cover easily and Philly to get the win.
