The Giants will return to action this weekend following their week to take on the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Bengals suffered a very tough loss to the Washington Football 20-9 and lost their franchise quarterback for the rest of the season in the process. Joe Burrow sustained a gruesome leg injury in the game and it could alter the trajectory of his career it was so horrific.
New York Giants
About two weeks ago it seemed like the Eagles were going to run away with the NFC East, but now the Giants have an opportunity to slide into first place with a win on Sunday and another Eagles loss. The Giants rattled off back to back wins for the first time since week 15 and week 16 of last year and now sit 3-7 on the year. Joe Judge has his guys playing some really good football right now and the Giants seem like they have had shots to win most of the games they have been in recently.
Daniel Jones has done a really good job protecting the ball over the last two weeks and it has led to a lot of success for this Giants team. Over the last two years, Jones leads the league in turnovers, and New York as a team has allowed the most points off turnovers over the last two seasons.
This season Daniel Jones has completed 212 of 334 passes for 2122 yards to go along with an 8:9 TD to INT ratio. He also is the Giants leading rusher with 384 yards on the ground and has one score to his credit.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Giant’s effort has been very encouraging this season. Even though the stats might not show it they have one of the best secondaries in the league. They have allowed more than 30 points only twice this season and have held some of the best offenses in the league to minimal points. New York is giving up an average of 23.6 points per game which is good for 12th in the NFL.
Cincinnati Bengals
It looks like it’s going to be a wasted season for the Cincinnati Bengals after the loss of Joe Burrow. Burrow looked like he was well on his way to the OROY award after starting all 10 games up until this point for the Bengals. Zac Taylor will turn to backup QB Ryan Finley to make the start this Sunday and try to fill the shoes of Burrow for the rest of the remaining schedule.
Ryan Finley has seen very limited action in the NFL the past two years but he did start a few games in 2019. Finley completed 41 of 87 passes last season for 474 yards to go with two touchdowns and two interceptions in three starts last season.
Joe Mixon is doubtful for this game and the Bengals offense has looked flat ever since he went down with a foot injury. Over the last four weeks, they are averaging 21 points per game and that’s because they having a hard time running the ball, so the offense becomes predictable when they are forced to pass.
Defensively, Cincinnati sits at the bottom of the league. They give up an average of 27.0 points per game which is good for 22nd in the NFL. The Bengals are the third-worst team in the NFL at giving up rushing yards with having surrendered 1392 yards this season. They give up the most yards in the NFL per rushing attempt to opposing teams with an average of 5.0 Y/A. Their passing defense is much better as they have surrendered the third-most yards to the pass this season with 2547 yards.

* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Giants -6
I think the Giants should be able to cover the number here. The Bengals have been one of the worst teams in the league on defense and the offense is not going to be the same with Ryan Finley at QB. Cincinnati has had a hard time protecting Joe Burrow, so I don’t expect them to be better with a back-up QB out there, it’s probably going to be a long day for Finley in the pocket. New York is playing some really promising football right now and I think Joe Judge will have his guys up for this one knowing they have a shot to steal the division in a down year for the NFC East. Give me the Giants and the points to beat up on the Bengals and grab their fourth win this season.
