Bears will hold host to the Giants on Sunday. Giants are coming off a loss to the Steelers on Monday night, while Chicago captured a victory against the Lions last Sunday.
New York Giants
Joe Judge and company will have to work with a short week as they played a game on Monday Night. The Steelers defense dominated them in their first game causing Daniel Jones to turn over the ball several times in the contest.
Danny dimes didn’t look too bad under the first-year coordinator Jason Garrett. Garrett came over from the Cowboys after spending 10 years as Dallas’s head coach. Jones threw for 279 yards on 26 of 41 attempts to go with his two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 1 game.
The Giants have a couple of good looking receivers on the squad through one game. Darius Slayton led the way for the G-Men getting 102 receiving yards on six catches and adding two TD’s. Sterling Sheppard also had a nice game catching all six of targets for 60 yards, but didn’t find his way into the endzone.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Giants are struggling with some early season injuries to top draft choice Xavier McKinney and Shakial Taylor that really affected their secondary. It seemed as if Big Ben could that long third-down throw whenever he wanted (if the pass was accurate**).
Chicago Bears
Bears will have a slight advantage in this one as they are getting an extra day of rest over New York. Chicago is coming off a 17-point fourth-quarter comeback against the Lions from last weekend.
Mitch Trubisky balled out after starting 3 of 9 for 27 yards to start the first quarter. Trubisky ended up throwing for three touchdowns (all in the fourth quarter) lifting the Bears to the victory. He completed 20 of 36 passes for 242 yards to go with the three TD’s. The best thing about Mitch last week was the fact he didn’t turn the ball over as that was a huge issue in the past seasons.
It was a great team win for the Bears as Mitch spread the love all of his weapons. Anthony Miller led the team in receiving with 76 yards catching four of six targets to go with his TD on the day. WR #1 Allen Robinson had a less than productive day catching just five of his nine targets for 74 yards and couldn’t find the endzone.
Chicago really bunkered down in the second half of the game over the weekend and especially in the fourth quarter. They allowed just 10 points in the second half and 0 in the fourth quarter. Akeem Hicks made the big play in the fourth getting an interception on Stafford that helped Mitch have great field position on the following series.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: New York +5.5
I like the Giants in this one as they were able to put together some good drives on the best defense in the league right now. Saquon Barkley has only six rushing yards in the game on Monday and I don’t see that happening again. Give me the G-Men to cover the spread and sprinkle a little on the money line as they have a good shot to win the game.
