Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday will play host to a matchup between two respectable NFL franchises with teams trending in opposite directions in this particular season.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints will be strong road favorites after holding on to defeat the Falcons in Week 13 by a score of 21–16.
The margin of victory could have been larger. Taysom Hill had the offense moving for the entire first half and to start the second.
The Saints had a 21–9 lead before taking their foot off the the pedal. It only got close after Hill fumbled, which led to an Atlanta touchdown.

Matt Ryan’s touchdown pass to Russell Gage was the first touchdown New Orleans’ defense gave up since the first quarter of their Week 10 victory over San Francisco, a streak of fourteen quarters.
Philadelphia Eagles
So not only is the Eagles’ offense dysfunctional, it will have to go up against the hottest defense in the NFC.
Philadelphia lost its fourth game in a row in Week 13 to the Packers, 31–16.
Carson Went started the game and his offense produced three points in the first half. He started the second with a forty-one yard completion before throwing two interceptions, leading to another punt.
Jalen Hurts relieved Wentz and led Philly’s lone touchdown drive of the game (it got a punt return touchdown from Jalen Reagor) but didn’t play well, either. He finished 5-of-12 with an interception.
Early in the week, it is unclear who will start at quarterback for Doug Pederson on Sunday.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Saints -7
On first glance, it’s a surprise the number isn’t bigger. That said, it’s big for a road favorite led by a quarterback the football cognoscenti still isn’t fully confident in.
The Eagles also may not be able to possibly play worse than they have been playing. They aren’t out of the playoff picture in the NFC East, either.
But then again, what reason is there to believe the Eagles will play any better?
They look dead. The Saints, meanwhile, look tremendous, perhaps better than they ever had this season with Drew Brees at quarterback.
Taysom Hill continues to get more confident with each start — he threw the first two touchdown passes of his career in Week 13. It sure helps to have Michael Thomas back up to speed on the outside.
Let the last Hill skeptics and Eagle hopefuls keeping this number down play to your advantage and take the Saints at -7 while you can. This number will only go higher.
